Healthy Kids Fruity Oatmeal Recipe

               
Start your day with a deliciously sweet bowl of high-fiber oatmeal. Chopped almonds and golden raisins give this healthy breakfast recipe a wonderful crunch that the whole family will love.

Recipe yields 2 servings
1 cup skim milk
1/2 cup plain dry oatmeal (gluten free if needed)
2 tsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp wheat germ
1 Tbsp golden raisins
1 Tbsp almonds, chopped
1 Tbsp dried cranberries
1/2 cup fresh blueberries

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine milk, oatmeal and brown sugar and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until oatmeal is softened. Add wheat germ, raisins, almonds, dried cranberrries and blueberries and stir to combine. Serve immediately.
