Healthy Kids Honey Yogurt Waffles Recipe

Start your day with sweet, protein-packed waffles paired with raspberries and fresh mint. Greek yogurt gives this heart-healthy breakfast dish light, tangy flavor that always satisfies.

Ingredients
Recipe yields 6 servings
2 large eggs
1 3/4 cups low-fat 1% milk
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 Tbsp honey
1 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup fresh raspberries
Fresh mint, for garnish (optional)

Directions
Step 1

Preheat a waffle iron.

Step 2

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, yogurt and honey until well combined.

Step 3

Add the baking powder and flours and stir until well combined.

Step 4

Pour approximately 1/4 cup batter for each waffle onto the heated waffle iron. Cook until golden. Serve topped with raspberries and mint, if desired.
