What is more simple or satisfying than bread and chocolate? This luscious treat tops whole-grain French bread with bittersweet chocolate and finely chopped hazelnuts for a heart-healthy indulgence.
Recipe yields 14 servings
Preheat broiler.
Lightly coat both sides of bread slices with nonstick cooking spray. Place bread on a baking sheet; broil for 2 minutes on each side, or until toasted. Remove bread from oven.
Reduce oven temperature to 350°.
Sprinkle each bread slice with chocolate. Bake for 5 minutes, or until chocolate melts. Garnish with hazelnuts. Serve warm.
