Healthy Mint Iced Tea

Lemon verbena, green tea, and fresh mint make an incredibly refreshing trio in this six-ingredient iced tea recipe. Sip on a cool, lightly sweetened drink that tastes like summer in a glass. Fresh lemon slices can be used in the place of verbena if you’re in a pinch.

How to Make Mint Iced Tea

  1. Step 1

In a heatproof pitcher or a teapot, combine the boiling water and tea leaves. Cover and steep the tea for 3 to 5 minutes.

  2. Step 2

Strain the tea mixture through a fine sieve into a bowl, and discard the tea leaves.

  3. Step 3

Add the mint and steep for 5 minutes. Remove the mint leaves. Add the sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the lemon verbena leaves. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until completely cooled. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and mint sprigs.
