Healthy Kids Double Chocolate Brownies Recipe

               
These deliciously rich brownies come in at just 120 calories a serving and contain less than half the fat of packaged brownie mix. Made with decadent dark chocolate chips, you will get a heart-healthy boost in every bite.

Ingredients
Recipe yields 16 servings
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
1 large egg
1 large egg white
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 Tbsp safflower oil

Directions
Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly coat an 8 x 8-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine flours, baking powder, salt, cocoa and chocolate chips.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients and stir until well blended. Add flour mixture and stir until just blended.

Step 4

Spread batter into baking pan and bake for 35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack and cut into 16 pieces.
