Heart Healthy Grilled Cheese and Chicken Sandwich Recipe

Grilled cheese gets a whole new taste from sliced chicken breast and sweet, juicy grapes on the side. Toasted whole wheat bread is layered with reduced-fat Cheddar cheese and tender meat for explosive flavor.

Ingredients
Recipe yields 2 servings
1 cooked chicken breast (4 oz), sliced
1/8 tsp garlic salt
Black pepper to taste
1 Tbsp olive oil
4 slices whole wheat bread
10 red grapes, sliced
3 oz reduced-fat cheddar cheese, sliced thin

Directions
Step 1

Season chicken with garlic salt and pepper.

Step 2

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Lay 2 slices of bread in skillet.

Step 3

Top each slice of bread with grapes, cheese and chicken slices.

Step 4

Top with remaining slices of bread. Grill sandwich, covered, until both sides are golden brown, crispy and the cheese is melted, turning once during cooking.
