Healthy Kids Chocolate Chip Banana Loaf Recipe

               
Every slice of this delightfully soft chocolate chip bread is loaded with sweet, rich flavor that is also heart-healthy. Whole-wheat flour, yogurt, dark chocolate, and banana blend to make the moistest loaf ever.

2 cups whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp salt
3 ripe bananas
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup coconut oil
2 eggs
1/3 cup low-fat plain yogurt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips

Directions
Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly coat a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. Line the pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

Step 3

In a mixer, mix bananas until mashed well.

Step 4

Add the sugar, oil and eggs and cream well. Add the yogurt and vanilla and mix to combine.

Step 5

Gradually add the flour mixture to the banana mixture until combined well.

Step 6

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Step 7

Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool in pan on a wire rack. Remove from pan to cool completely.
